About Category 5

Category5 is a branding design and marketing firm that helps building products manufacturers stand out and drive more sales with 5Forces, its building product specific marketing approach.

The 5Forces™ is the brainchild of Category5 founder and CEO, Lori Malone. At its foundation is a process for calculating a product’s total benefit to customer based on its interplay with the five forces — cost, health, eco, codes and credits (tax, energy and LEED) that impact every building product.

Category5 brand strategists and designers then translate this data into a brand image, position and strategy that provides the foundation for integrated marketing efforts and package designs that will communicate the product’s true long term value.

Founded by Lori Malone in 1989, Category5 (formerly Malone Group Design) is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
